Your new hot tub is more than just an appliance; it’s the anchor for your dream backyard retreat. The placement and installation are your first opportunities to shape the look and feel of your entire outdoor living space. Will it be nestled on a custom paver patio next to an outdoor kitchen, or integrated into a new deck with a pergola for privacy? Thinking about how to install a hot tub in your backyard is the perfect time to consider the bigger picture. Our team specializes in creating these complete environments, and this guide will show you how the installation process fits into your overall vision. We’ll explore the foundational steps that ensure your spa is not only safe and functional but also beautifully integrated into your personal oasis.
Key Takeaways
- Prioritize a Solid Foundation and Safe Power: Before your hot tub arrives, ensure you have a perfectly level base—like a concrete pad or reinforced deck—and a dedicated 240V GFCI circuit installed by a licensed electrician. These are the two most critical steps for protecting your investment and ensuring safety.
- Choose Your Location for Convenience and Privacy: The best spot for your spa is one you’ll use often. Place it near a door for easy access, use landscaping or screens to create a private retreat, and remember to leave clearance around the equipment panel for future maintenance.
- Clear the Path for a Smooth Delivery: A successful delivery day depends on a clear, wide path from the street to your spa’s final location. Measure gates and tight corners ahead of time and communicate any potential obstacles to your installation team to prevent surprises.
Getting Ready for Your Hot Tub: The Pre-Installation Checklist
Bringing a hot tub home is incredibly exciting, and a little bit of planning goes a long way toward a smooth and stress-free delivery day. Before our team arrives, there are a few key things to consider to make sure your backyard is ready for its new addition. Think of it as rolling out the welcome mat for years of relaxation and wellness. The goal is to create a clear path and a stable, safe home for your spa. This preparation phase ensures that when your hot tub arrives, it can be placed, connected, and filled without any surprises. We’ll walk you through every step during your consultation, but understanding the basics will help you visualize the process and feel confident about the big day. Our comprehensive pre-delivery checklist covers all the details, but let’s break down the three most important areas: clearing your space, building a solid foundation, and handling any local permits. Getting these right from the start is the secret to a perfect installation that protects your investment and gets you soaking sooner. It’s all about making sure the only thing you have to worry about on delivery day is what temperature to set the water.
Measure and Clear Your Space
First, we need to map out the hot tub’s journey from the delivery truck to its final spot in your yard. Take a walk along the most direct route and look for any potential obstacles. You’ll want to measure the width of gates, side yard paths, and any tight corners. We need a clear, unobstructed path that’s wide and tall enough for the spa to pass through on its side. This might mean temporarily removing a gate, trimming back some bushes, or clearing away patio furniture. Our delivery team is expert at maneuvering spas into place, but a clear path makes the process safer and quicker for everyone. During our site visit, we’ll help you identify the best route and point out anything that needs to be moved ahead of time.
Build a Solid Foundation
A hot tub is heavy—especially when filled with hundreds of gallons of water and a few friends. It absolutely cannot be placed directly on grass or uneven ground. It needs a solid, perfectly level foundation to support its weight and ensure it operates correctly for years to come. The most common options are a reinforced concrete slab, a sturdy deck built to code, or a base made of interlocking pavers. Choosing the right foundation depends on your backyard design and personal preference. A concrete pad offers permanent stability, while a custom deck can integrate your spa beautifully into your outdoor living area. As a full-service design and build company, we can construct the perfect paver patio or deck to support your new spa and complete your backyard vision.
Check Local Permits
Depending on where you live, you may need a permit for your hot tub installation. Local building codes and zoning laws can have specific rules about how close a spa can be to your property line, what kind of safety barriers are required (like fencing or a locking cover), and the electrical work involved. It sounds complicated, but it’s a standard part of the process that we can help you with. You don’t have to sort through municipal codes on your own. We’re familiar with the requirements in the communities we serve across the Carolinas. During your free home consultation, we can discuss what your specific area requires and make sure every part of your installation is safe, secure, and up to code.
Finding the Perfect Spot for Your Hot Tub
Choosing where to place your new hot tub is one of the most exciting parts of the process. It’s about more than just finding a level spot; it’s about designing a space that fits seamlessly into your daily life. The right location can be the difference between a hot tub you use occasionally and one that becomes a cherished part of your routine. Think about how you’ll use it most—for quiet morning soaks, family fun on weekends, or relaxing evenings with friends.
Your decision will influence everything from convenience and privacy to the overall atmosphere of your backyard. A well-placed spa feels like a natural extension of your home, inviting you to step in and unwind. During a free home consultation, our design experts can walk your property with you, helping you visualize the possibilities and find a location that balances aesthetics with practicality. We’ll consider sun exposure, wind patterns, and your existing landscape to create the perfect setting for your wellness retreat.
Consider Proximity to Your Home
When the weather turns chilly, a long walk across a cold patio can be a major deterrent to using your hot tub. That’s why we almost always recommend placing your spa near an entrance to your house. A shorter path makes it much more appealing to slip outside for a warm soak, even on a crisp winter evening. This convenience factor is key to getting the most use out of your investment year-round.
Beyond comfort, a nearby location simplifies the installation itself. Your hot tub will need a dedicated electrical circuit, and running the connection is typically easier and more cost-effective over a shorter distance. It also makes filling and topping off the water a breeze, since you’ll only need a standard garden hose. Think about the most convenient door to use—perhaps one leading from a master bedroom, back deck, or mudroom.
Plan for Privacy and Landscaping
Your hot tub should feel like a private escape, a place where you can truly relax without feeling like you’re on display. As you scout for the perfect spot, consider the sightlines from your neighbors’ windows and any adjacent properties. Fortunately, creating a secluded atmosphere is easy to do with a little creative planning. You can integrate beautiful and functional privacy solutions that enhance your entire backyard.
Permanent structures like pergolas and custom-built screens can define the space while adding architectural interest. For a softer, more natural feel, consider planting lush shrubs, ornamental grasses, or a row of evergreen trees to form a living wall. Even simple additions like large potted plants or retractable privacy screens can provide the seclusion you need to make your spa area feel like a personal sanctuary.
Ensure Easy Access for Maintenance
Before you fall in love with a location, you need to think about the logistics of both delivery and long-term care. On delivery day, our crew will need a clear, wide path to bring the spa into your yard. A good rule of thumb is that the path’s width should be at least the height of the hot tub, as it’s often moved on its side. If your ideal spot is in a tight corner or has no direct access, don’t worry—a crane can often lift it into place.
Once installed, you’ll need to be able to access the equipment panel for any future service. Make sure to leave enough clearance around at least one side of the spa. This ensures our technicians can perform routine maintenance or repairs without any issues, keeping your hot tub running perfectly for years to come.
Powering Up: What to Know About Hot Tub Electrical Needs
Getting your hot tub’s electrical setup right is one of the most important steps in the installation process. While it might seem complicated, it’s all about ensuring your spa has the consistent, safe power it needs to run efficiently. Most high-performance hot tubs, like the ones from Hot Spring® Spas, require a 240-volt connection. This is different from a standard household outlet and provides enough power to run the powerful jets and heater at the same time—so you can enjoy a hot, bubbly soak even on a chilly Carolina evening.
Think of it as giving your spa its own dedicated power source, so it never has to compete with other appliances in your home. This prevents tripped breakers and ensures every feature works exactly as it should. While some smaller, “plug-and-play” models can use a standard 110-volt outlet, a 240-volt setup is the standard for a premium hydrotherapy experience. Our team can walk you through the specific requirements for your chosen model during your consultation.
Your 240-Volt Circuit Explained
So, what exactly is a 240-volt circuit? In simple terms, it’s a dedicated electrical line that runs directly from your home’s main breaker panel to your hot tub. It’s installed specifically for your spa and isn’t shared with any other outlets or appliances. This circuit is protected by its own breaker—usually a 40, 50, or 60-amp breaker, depending on your hot tub’s specifications. This setup guarantees that your spa receives a steady flow of electricity, allowing the heater, pumps, and lighting systems to operate at peak performance without overloading your home’s electrical system. You can find the exact electrical requirements for your model in our pre-delivery checklist.
Why You Need a Licensed Electrician
When it comes to wiring a hot tub, this is one job you should always leave to a professional. A licensed electrician is essential for installing a 240-volt circuit safely and correctly. They understand the specific requirements for wiring a spa, which involves working with high voltage in an outdoor, wet environment. An electrician will ensure that all the work meets local building codes, from running the proper gauge of wire in a weatherproof conduit to correctly installing the disconnect box. Hiring a professional not only protects your hot tub’s warranty but, more importantly, ensures the safety of you and your family. Our in-house service team can coordinate with trusted local electricians to make this part of the process seamless.
Install GFCI for Safety
A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, or GFCI, is a critical safety device for any hot tub installation. This is a special type of circuit breaker that constantly monitors the flow of electricity. If it detects even the slightest imbalance—which could indicate a potential for electric shock—it shuts off the power to the hot tub in a fraction of a second. Your electrician will install a GFCI disconnect box near the spa. National electric codes require this box to be located at least five feet away from the water’s edge but still within your line of sight. This placement allows you to quickly shut off power in an emergency without being in contact with the water. It’s a non-negotiable safety feature that provides total peace of mind.
The Best Foundation for Your Hot Tub
Your new hot tub needs a solid, perfectly level surface to sit on. This is one of the most critical parts of the installation process, and it’s definitely not a step where you want to cut corners. A filled hot tub, with water and people, can weigh several thousand pounds—that’s more than a small car sitting in your backyard. An unstable or uneven foundation puts immense stress on the spa’s shell, which can lead to cracks and costly damage that isn’t covered by your warranty. It can also throw off the calibration of internal equipment, affecting how everything from the jets to the heater functions.
Think of the foundation as the bedrock of your relaxation oasis. It’s what ensures your investment is safe, secure, and ready for years of enjoyment. That’s why placing a hot tub directly on grass or uneven dirt is never an option; the ground will shift and settle, creating a dangerous and damaging situation. Instead, you have a few excellent choices, each with its own benefits depending on your landscape and vision. We can walk you through the best fit for your yard during a free home consultation, but let’s cover the most popular and reliable options.
The Concrete Slab: A Permanent Solution
A reinforced concrete slab is the gold standard for a hot tub foundation. Typically about four inches thick, a professionally poured slab provides an incredibly durable and perfectly level surface that won’t shift or settle over time. It’s a permanent, set-it-and-forget-it solution that offers total peace of mind. This is the ideal choice if you know exactly where you want your hot tub to live for the long haul. While it’s the most robust option, it does require proper site preparation, framing, and pouring, followed by a curing period before the spa can be delivered. As part of our all-in-one process, our construction teams can handle the entire installation, ensuring your concrete pad is engineered to the exact specifications needed for your chosen spa model.
Can Your Deck Support a Hot Tub?
Placing a hot tub on a deck can create a beautiful, integrated look, but it requires careful planning. The key question is whether your deck can handle the immense weight. A standard deck is not built to support thousands of pounds concentrated in one area. Before you even consider this option, you must have a qualified structural engineer or a licensed contractor inspect your deck. In most cases, an existing deck will need significant reinforcement, including adding more posts, beams, and joists directly under the hot tub’s footprint. If you’re building a new deck, we can design it from the ground up to include a dedicated, structurally sound spot for your spa. You can see examples of how we seamlessly integrate spas into our custom deck projects in our gallery.
Gravel and Paver Base Options
If a concrete slab isn’t the right fit for your landscape or budget, a compacted gravel base is a solid alternative. This involves excavating a few inches of soil, building a level frame, and filling it with crushed stone that is then mechanically compacted to create a firm, level pad. It offers excellent drainage and can be a quicker, more cost-effective solution. Another fantastic option is a paver patio. Outdoor pavers provide a durable, level surface that also adds a touch of elegance to your backyard design. When installed correctly by a professional crew, a paver base can easily support the weight of a hot tub while blending beautifully with your surrounding landscape, walkways, or outdoor kitchen area. Both options are excellent, long-lasting solutions when prepared properly.
Delivery Day: What to Expect
The big day is almost here! Your new hot tub is on its way, and with a little preparation, the delivery and installation will be a breeze. At Fun Outdoor Living, our in-house crews handle the entire process, so you don’t have to worry about coordinating multiple teams or doing any of the heavy lifting yourself. Your main job is to ensure our team has a clear and safe path to your chosen spot.
Before we arrive, it’s a good idea to walk the path from your driveway to the hot tub’s final destination. Look for any potential obstacles like low-hanging branches, tight corners, gates, or outdoor furniture that might get in the way. Our team will go over all the specifics with you beforehand, but a quick check on your end helps guarantee a seamless experience. We’ve done this hundreds of times across the Carolinas, and our goal is to get your spa set up so you can start relaxing as soon as possible. You can find a detailed list of what to check in our pre-delivery checklist.
Clear a Path for Delivery
Our delivery team typically brings the hot tub in on its side using a special dolly or cart. To make this work, we need a clear, unobstructed path from the delivery truck to your foundation. As a rule of thumb, the path should be at least as wide as your hot tub is tall—usually, around 40 inches is a safe bet. This includes any gates, side yards, or turns we’ll need to make. Also, check the vertical clearance for things like roof eaves or air conditioning units. A little prep work here goes a long way in making delivery day quick and efficient.
Plan for Heavy Lifting (and Cranes)
What if your yard has steep hills, multiple flights of stairs, or no clear path? Don’t worry, we have solutions for even the most challenging backyards. In rare cases where a standard delivery isn’t possible, a crane can be used to lift the hot tub over your house and place it perfectly on its foundation. While this sounds dramatic, it’s a safe and controlled process. This isn’t a common scenario—most installations don’t require it—but it’s an option we can arrange if needed. Our experts will assess your property during your free home consultation to determine the best and safest delivery method.
Coordinate Your Delivery Time
Clear communication is key to a smooth delivery day. We’ll work with you to schedule a convenient time and give you a clear window for our team’s arrival. The most helpful thing you can do is let us know about any potential challenges—like a narrow gate or a tricky corner—ahead of time. Because we manage everything in-house, from sales to installation and service, you have a single point of contact. There’s no need to juggle schedules with third-party delivery companies. We handle all the logistics so you can simply look forward to your first soak.
Your Step-by-Step Installation Guide
With the groundwork laid and the electrical prepped, delivery day is when the real excitement begins. This is the final phase where a beautiful, state-of-the-art hot tub officially becomes a part of your home. At Fun Outdoor Living, we believe this process should be as relaxing as the spa itself. That’s why our in-house installation team manages every single detail, ensuring a flawless transition from our showroom to your backyard. You won’t have to coordinate with third parties or worry about the technical details.
Our process is designed to be transparent and stress-free. We’ll guide you through the three main steps: carefully positioning and leveling the tub, safely connecting the power and plumbing, and finally, filling and starting up your spa for the first time. We handle the heavy lifting and the technical connections so you can simply watch your dream wellness space take shape. By the time we leave, you’ll not only have a perfectly installed hot tub but also the confidence and knowledge to operate it and begin your new routine of relaxation and recovery.
Position and Level the Tub
The first step on delivery day is getting your hot tub perfectly positioned. Our team will carefully move the spa onto the solid, level foundation you prepared. Whether it’s a concrete slab, a reinforced deck, or a custom paver patio, the surface must be perfectly flat to ensure the tub operates correctly and its shell is protected for years to come. We use specialized equipment to place it without a scratch and then perform a final check to confirm it’s perfectly level. This precision is key to even water distribution and the proper function of all jets and internal components.
Connect Power and Plumbing
With the hot tub in place, the next step is connecting it to the dedicated electrical circuit. For safety and performance, high-powered models like Hot Spring® Spas require a 240-volt connection, which must be installed by a licensed electrician. Our team coordinates this crucial step to ensure everything is wired correctly and meets all local codes. We’ll connect the spa’s internal components to the GFCI-protected circuit, creating a secure and reliable power source. This is not a DIY job—professional installation is essential for your safety and to protect your investment.
Fill and Start Up Your Hot Tub
Now for the most exciting part: adding water! We’ll fill your hot tub using a standard garden hose, placing the end in the filter compartment to help prevent air locks in the plumbing. Once filled to the recommended level, we’ll turn on the power and begin the start-up sequence. The initial heating can take several hours, but our technicians will get everything running, add the initial water care products, and show you how to operate your new spa. We’ll also explain how our free water analysis can help you keep your water balanced and sparkling clean from day one.
Troubleshooting Common Installation Hurdles
Even the most carefully planned projects can hit a snag. Maybe your backyard has a tricky slope, or the only access point is a narrow side gate. This is where having an experienced, all-in-one team makes all the difference. We’ve seen just about every challenge a Carolina backyard can present, and our in-house construction crews are experts at finding smart, efficient solutions. Instead of you having to coordinate multiple contractors, we handle everything from site prep to final placement. This turns potential headaches into minor details, so you can focus on the exciting part: enjoying your new hot tub.
Dealing with Uneven Ground
One of the most critical requirements for any hot tub is a perfectly level, solid foundation. Placing a spa directly on grass or an uneven surface can strain the shell and damage internal components over time. If your yard has a natural slope, don’t worry—this is a very common scenario for us. Our team will assess the grade and prepare the site to create a stable base. Depending on your backyard design, this could involve building a reinforced deck, pouring a concrete slab, or installing a custom paver patio that integrates beautifully with your landscape. We ensure your foundation is built to last, providing the perfect support for years of relaxation.
Navigating Tight Spaces
A frequent question we hear is, “How are you going to get that huge tub into my backyard?” It’s a valid concern, but our delivery crews are masters of logistics. Most hot tubs are moved on their side using a special dolly, which means we typically only need a clear path about 40 inches wide. If a gate is too narrow, we can often temporarily remove a single fence panel to create the space we need. For homes with more challenging access, like terraced yards or other obstructions, a crane can lift the spa directly into place. It might sound dramatic, but it’s a safe and routine part of our installation toolkit, all detailed in our pre-delivery checklist.
Working with the Weather
Here in the Carolinas, the weather can be unpredictable. Our installation team always keeps an eye on the forecast to schedule your delivery on a clear day, ensuring a safe and dry process for both your new spa and our crew. Beyond delivery day, we also help you consider how weather will affect your long-term enjoyment. During your free home consultation, we’ll discuss things like sun exposure, wind direction, and drainage around the spa pad. Proper planning helps protect your investment and ensures your hot tub is a comfortable, inviting retreat no matter the season. We’ll make sure your chosen spot is perfect for both sunny afternoons and crisp autumn evenings.
Keeping Your Hot Tub Healthy: Simple Maintenance Tips
Now that your hot tub is installed, a little routine care will keep it running beautifully for years to come. Think of it less as a chore and more as a simple ritual that protects your investment and ensures your spa is always a clean, safe, and inviting retreat. Consistent maintenance prevents the buildup of contaminants, protects the internal components from damage, and keeps your water crystal clear. Just a few minutes each week is all it takes to manage the basics.
The good news is you don’t have to be a chemist or a pool expert to get it right. Modern spas, especially high-quality brands like Hot Spring® Spas, are designed for easy upkeep. From simple water testing to filter cleaning, the steps are straightforward. And if you ever feel unsure or simply want a completely hands-off experience, our team is here to help. We offer everything from professional water testing to comprehensive maintenance plans, so you can spend less time maintaining and more time relaxing. A well-cared-for hot tub is one that’s always ready for you to enjoy the wellness benefits you invested in.
Test and Balance Your Water
The key to pristine hot tub water is balance. Regularly testing your water’s pH, alkalinity, and sanitizer levels is the most important thing you can do for your spa’s health and your own. Balanced water feels better on your skin and prevents corrosion or scale buildup on your spa’s jets and heating elements. We recommend testing it a couple of times a week. If you’re ever unsure about your readings, you can bring a sample to any of our showrooms for a free water analysis. To keep things fresh, it’s also a good practice to drain and refill your hot tub every three to four months, depending on how often you use it.
Clean and Replace Your Filters
Your hot tub filters are the unsung heroes of your spa—they work tirelessly to capture dirt, oils, and other particles. To keep them working effectively, give them a quick rinse with a garden hose every week or two. This simple step prevents clogging and keeps your water circulating properly. Every time you drain and refill your spa, it’s a good idea to give the filters a deeper clean by soaking them in a filter cleaning solution. This removes stubborn buildup and extends their life. Eventually, filters will need to be replaced, typically once a year. If you need a hand, our certified service technicians can always take care of it for you.
Inspect Your Cover and Equipment
Your hot tub cover does more than just keep leaves out. A well-fitting, insulated cover is crucial for energy efficiency, as it traps heat and reduces your electricity costs. Take a moment each week to inspect it for any rips, tears, or signs of waterlogging, which can make it heavy and less effective. While you’re at it, do a quick visual check of your spa’s jets and controls to make sure everything looks and sounds normal. For homeowners who want total peace of mind, our Spa Valet Plans include regular inspections and complete water care, ensuring your hot tub is always in perfect condition.
Why It’s All Worth It: The Health Benefits
Going through the steps to install a hot tub is more than just a home improvement project; it’s an investment in your daily well-being. A hot tub transforms your backyard into a personal sanctuary, a place where you can disconnect from the demands of the day and reconnect with yourself and your loved ones. While the relaxation is immediate, the long-term health advantages are what truly make it worthwhile. Think of it as your personal, on-demand wellness center, available 24/7.
Soaking in a hot tub for just twenty minutes a day can introduce a whole host of health benefits, from better sleep to relief from the symptoms of chronic conditions. The combination of warm water, buoyancy, and powerful hydrotherapy jets works to ease both mental and physical tension. It’s a proactive way to manage stress, care for your body, and create healthy routines that stick. Whether you’re looking for a quiet escape after a long day or a way to soothe tired muscles after a workout, your new hot tub quickly becomes an essential part of your lifestyle.
Melt Away Stress and Sleep Better
In our busy lives, finding a way to truly unwind can be a challenge. A hot tub provides a dedicated space to do just that. The warm, swirling water creates a feeling of weightlessness that helps release physical tension, which in turn calms a racing mind. This powerful combination can significantly reduce stress and anxiety. The ritual of a nightly soak can also dramatically improve your sleep. As your body temperature rises in the tub and then falls after you get out, it sends a natural signal to your brain that it’s time for rest, helping you fall asleep faster and enjoy deeper, more restorative sleep.
Soothe Aching Muscles and Joints
Whether you’re dealing with post-exercise soreness, chronic pain, or the stiffness that comes with arthritis, a hot tub offers incredible relief. This is thanks to hydrotherapy—the use of water to treat health conditions. The buoyancy of the water takes the pressure off your joints, while the heat helps relax tight muscles. The jets in modern Hot Spring® Spas can be aimed at specific areas, delivering a targeted massage that works out knots and eases discomfort. It’s a gentle yet effective way to manage pain and improve your mobility, helping you feel better day after day.
Improve Circulation and Recovery
Soaking in warm water does wonders for your circulatory system. The heat causes your blood vessels to dilate, or widen, which can lower blood pressure and helps blood flow more freely throughout your body. This improved circulation delivers oxygen and nutrients to your muscles more efficiently, which is key for speeding up recovery after physical activity. Better circulation has wide-ranging benefits, from healthier skin to reduced inflammation. It’s a simple, passive way to support your body’s natural healing processes and fits perfectly into a holistic wellness routine that might also include practices like contrast therapy.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the entire installation process take from start to finish? The timeline can vary quite a bit depending on the prep work your backyard needs. If you already have a suitable foundation and electrical setup, the delivery and installation can happen very quickly. If we are building a new deck or paver patio for you, that will naturally add to the schedule. We map out a clear and realistic timeline for you during your home consultation so you know exactly what to expect every step of the way.
Do I have to find my own electrician and contractor for the foundation? Not at all. This is one of the biggest benefits of working with us. We manage the entire project from the initial design to the final installation. Our in-house construction teams can build the perfect deck or paver patio for your spa, and we coordinate with trusted, licensed electricians to handle all the wiring. Your job is to relax while we handle all the logistics.
My backyard has a pretty significant slope. Can I still get a hot tub? Absolutely. Sloped yards are very common here in the Carolinas, and it’s a challenge we solve all the time. A hot tub must sit on a perfectly level surface, so we would simply build a proper foundation to create one. This could be a custom-built deck, a retaining wall with a paver patio, or a graded concrete pad. We’ll assess your property and design a solution that is both safe and beautiful.
What happens if my ideal spot for the hot tub has no direct access from the driveway? This is a common concern, but we have plenty of experience with tricky deliveries. Our team can often navigate tight spaces by temporarily removing a fence panel to create a clear path. For yards with stairs, retaining walls, or other major obstacles, we can arrange for a crane to safely lift the hot tub over your home and place it exactly where you want it. It’s a straightforward process that we can coordinate for you.
How soon can I use my new hot tub after it’s installed? Once our team has positioned the spa, connected the power, and filled it with water, the final step is heating it up. The initial heating can take several hours, typically between 8 to 12, depending on the size of your tub and the starting water temperature. Our technicians will get everything running and walk you through the controls before they leave, so your spa will be warming up and ready for your first soak by that evening or the next day.
